A roof restoration brings a tired tile or metal roof back to sound, watertight condition without replacing it. We clean the whole roof, replace broken tiles, rebed and repoint the ridge caps, treat rust and replace failed screws, then seal and recoat the roof in the colour you choose. You get a roof that keeps the rain out and looks close to new, for far less than re-roofing. We restore concrete tile, terracotta and Colorbond metal roofs across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Logan, and the Tweed and Northern Rivers.

A roof repair fixes one defined problem so water stays out of your home. We find the cause, not just the stain on the ceiling: cracked or slipped tiles, failed ridge joints, rusted screws, lifted metal sheets and worn flashings. Fixing it early saves you from wet insulation, swollen plasterboard and a bigger bill later. If the roof needs work across several areas, we'll tell you when a roof restoration is the better value.

Ridge capping repointing replaces the cracked, crumbling pointing that holds the ridge caps along your roof's peaks and hips. Loose ridge caps let rain run straight into the roof space, whatever the tiles look like. We rebed caps where the bedding has failed, then apply new flexible pointing that moves with the roof. You get a watertight ridge line and a roof restoration that holds up.

Roof cleaning strips away the moss, lichen, mould and built-up dirt that hold moisture against your tiles or sheets and hide cracks. Repointing is usually priced by the lineal metre, commonly around $25 to $30 per metre across the Gold Coast. On an average roof that works out to roughly $1,750 to $3,500. A focused repair, such as replacing damaged tiles or reseating a ridge cap, is commonly $350 to $1,500. Where the fault has spread across an area, or access is difficult, repair work runs from about $1,500 to $6,000. What changes the price on a roof restoration?

Will I need to prepare my property?

What happens if it rains during the work?
Coating and surface preparation need suitable weather. If rain comes in, we pause and tell you when the next step can go ahead.
Do you work on two-storey homes?
Yes. Two-storey and steep roofs need extra safety equipment and setup, and we include that in your quote so there are no surprises.
What affects the price?
Size, pitch, material, roof condition and access all shape the work and the quote. Two roofs of a similar size can need very different work once we've assessed them.

Do you repair roofs as well as restore them?

Do you replace broken tiles and repoint ridge caps?
Yes. Replacing damaged tiles and repointing ridge caps is part of our roof restoration and repair work. We identify them during the assessment and list them in the scope, so you can see exactly what's included.
Is roof painting part of a roof restoration?
Yes. Roof painting is the final coat of a roof restoration. On its own, paint only hides faults for a season. On a roof that has been cleaned, repaired and primed, the coating seals the surface and brings back the colour.
